I have a fun drink I like to make that uses prosecco. These are great for allowing me to keep a bottle for a few days. They work great for sparkling grape and apple juice as well—even bottled hard ciders. I was impressed with how well they worked, and the product was just as good as when first opened two days later.

I got these to do exactly as advertised, save half-finished bottles of prosecco and other sparkling wines. These work great and do, in fact, extend the carbonation. They are easy to install. With the side wings open, push the silicone plug into the wine bottle opening, then fold the wings down—and that's it. The wings do require just a little bit of strength to close, so if you have bad arthritis, this may not work very well. TIP: If you don't have great hand strength, try using a dishcloth folded up a few times and use that to grip the sides and squeeze the wings down.

I don't often have the issue of needing to seal up my champagne (or sparkling wine) since open bottles do not normally remain full for long, but in the event that I do, this is a lifesaver. Works very well at keeping bubbles in the beverages and does not leak at all. The stopper is dependent on the ridge on the neck of the bottle, so make sure that whatever bottles you want to use have that. Otherwise, it does not work.
